There is nothing worse than having a perfectly good barbeque ruined by annoying wasps!

Wasps are intimidating, usually travel in packs, and can be quite dangerous (and quite painful!).

It can be a terrifying sight for some, seeing a wasp hovering around them. A lot of people literally panic because they are so scared of these little buggers.

Even worse, is if you search around your backyard one day and out-of-the-blue find a giant wasps nest taunting you from enjoying yourself, it can be a serious nuisance.

The good news is, how to get rid of a wasps nest is something that you can learn how to do yourself. There are 4 options immediately available:

Option number 1- You pay for professionals.

Having the professionals come in is always nice. You know they are going to get the job done and make your life worry free. But there IS a downside.

They cost a lot of money. They don't make any guarantees that the wasps will stay gone. And they might need to repeat the job, costing you more and more money, just to keep the wasps gone.

Option number 2 - Buy sprays and hit their nest.

A lot of sprays are terrible for the environment and for you. Not only that, these sprays aren't guaranteed to work, and you have to do it yourself possibly many times, which can become quite expensive.

Option number 3 - Set up traps around your yard.

Traps are a lot of work to set up, but can they be effective in reducing the numbers of wasps?

The answer is ...traps alone won't get rid of a wasps nest. They will help you enjoy your yard/balcony, and might be a great solution if you live in an apartment building, or your neighbours wasps won't leave you alone.

Option number 4 - Leave them alone.

It's amazing how many people will idly sit by and hope that the wasps will just go away. Or people retreat and don't deal with the actually problem.

The longer you leave the wasps nest, the bigger it will grow and the more comfortable the wasps will get.

So is that it?

Are there any other options to help you get rid of a wasps nest yourself?

Definitely, yes!

The bad news is I am unable to give you the long version of the answer in this short article. The good news is I can share with you a MUST-use tip that will help you any time you are trying to get rid of a wasps nest yourself. Do it at night time, when all the wasps are in their nest. IF you don't, you will likely miss many of the wasps. So even if you do get rid of the nest, chances are the wasps you missed will rebuild stronger than ever.
